A movement to get more people drinking beer? Count us in!

Drinking more beer is something we can all get behind. Finding new beers to drink and new places to drink them, is something of a calling to both myself and Scott. Hell, the whole reason this site was set up, was to extoll the virtues of beer to you, the internet browsing public.

So, it's always nice to come across a fellow beeraphile (may not be the official term) on ones travels around webland, especially when our philosphies appear to marry together nicely. Founded almost three years ago by Andy Heggs, Tryanuary is, in their own words "...a UK wide campaign throughout January which aims to inspire people to seek out and try new beers". A noble pursuit, I'm sure we can all agree.

Anyone interested in advancing this cause can Tweet using the hashtag #Tryanuary (which I'm about to do shortly...), or visit the website to volunteer as a representative to champion all things beer in your area. Full details can be found on the site.

Daft name aside, this is something that we here in BWIHD Towers can definitely get behind and if it wasn't for a pesky job (damn you real life!), I reckon I'd be only happy to champion beer a little more than I already do.
